Coastal Schools

Our Coastal Schools Workshops are in partnership with our Tackling Plastic NI team at Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful and funded by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs.

Our team of Field Officers will go out to schools and carry out an interactive Tackling Plastic Workshop and teach our young people how to carry out an OSPAR Marine Litter Survey along their local coastline. The Field officer will then accompany the class to the beach or coastline to carry out the litter audit and submit their results.

We hope to collate the results of the Litter Audits and produce a report for government on highlighting the litter washing up along our coastlines in Northern Ireland.
