Trócaire is an Irish International Development Agency established in 1973 to express the concern of the Irish public for the world’s poorest and most oppressed people. Trócaire’s partnership makes us different. We work through global networks with local partners on the ground so local people drive the whole process, and in turn their own development.
At home we inform and educate the Irish public about global issues to mobilise them to take action. Trócaire believes in giving young people the opportunity to become involved in active global citizenship through campaigning and events. By taking action with Trócaire, you can help us lobby for change.
If you are thinking about tackling development, global and human rights in the classroom, Trócaire is happy to provide you with advice and support. Our education resources include lesson plans, activities, background information and real stories. All our resources are linked to curriculum areas and specific age groups. We can also visit schools to facilitate workshops.
